Featured sa Jessica Soho kagabi ang Stuttering o ang pagiging utal.  Wala naman (ata?) sa PB na utal, ano?  Naaalala ko lang nung bata si Tito Ayo ay nauutal, pero nawala na rin over the years.  Ako, merong combination ng words na nauutal ako - mga tunog ng S at N na magkakasunod-sunod.  Unang beses kong na-realize ito nung nag-speech ako - nagpasikat ako't nagsalita ng Tagalog ng hindi nag-pra-practice.  Patay!  Ang salita ay NANANAGINIP.  Nautal ako.  At biglang nag-ingles na lang.  BIhira kasi ang salitang English na sunud-sunod ang N at S.  So ayun, nakahanap na ko ng paraan.

Sabi ng isang speech pathologist na nag-guest ng show, ang STUTTERING o PAGKA-UTAL ay hindi sakit o disorder, ito ay condition.  So kayang-kayang ayusin.  Di pa ako pumunta ng pathologist para ayusin ang challenge ko sa pagsasalita.  Ang nagawa ko ay gumawa ng paraan.  Pag malapit ko ng sabihin ang "NANANALANTA" o "SASANAYIN", babagalan kong magsalita, at hihinto.  OK naman, bihira na lang sumablay.

Interestingly, hindi ako utal nung bata.  Ngayong matanda ko lang na-realize ito.  So posible ring dati pa ako nau-utal, di ko lang alam.

Miriam strikes again

May issue sa carpnapping, pagsabog ng bus, at sa goodbye and welcome gifts para sa AFP Chief of Staff.  Sa kabila ng lahat ng yan, asahan ang kakaibang hirit galing kay Senator Miriam.  (BInoto nyo ba sya?)

Narinig nyo na ba na sinabi ni Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago na si Senator Trillanes ang "most handsome senator"?


Sinabi ito ni Miriam pagkatapos ng speech ni Trillanes para sa kanyang Senate Bill No. 2671, o Act Strengthening the Career Executive System.  Pagkatapos ng speech ni Sen. Trillanes, pumunta si Miriam sa stage at sinabing, "I noticed that Senator Trillanes is the youngest and the most handsome senator."

Sinabi rin ni Miriam na  napansin niyang "apprehensive" si Sen. Trillanes na hindi man lamang ito ngumingiti pag nagkakasalubong sila sa hallway ng Senado.

Kaya sabi niya, "I wanted to propose that he would look even better if he attempted to smile once in a while."

Ayos!  hahaha

New Year's Eve

Feb 3, 2011 is New Year's Day (in the Lunar Calendar).  So mamayang gabi ang New Year's Eve.

Ang Chinese New Year tanong-taon ang pinakamalaking migration sa buong mundo.  Ibig sabihin ito ang pinakamalaking sabay-sabay na pag-uwi ng mga tao sa kanilang bahay o hometown.

Sa mainland China, cine-celebrate ang New Year ng 7 days, obviously ang pinakamalaking celebration sa buong taon.  Malaki rin ang celebration sa Hong Kong at Macau (syempre), at sa Taiwan (syempre rin).  Holiday din sa Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia at Vietnam. 

Ang mga bansang nagcelebrate ng Chinese New Year, pero hindi holiday ay Philippines, Australia, United States, at Canada.
