Nakisabay ako kila Tito One at Tita Eyan. Umalis kami sa Binan ng mga 9:20 and decided to take C-5, kasi nga may constrcution daw sa Cubao. Nakarating kami before 11am and surprisingly, ang dami ng tao. Andun na sila Tita Edith, Tita Ate, Lolipot, Sila Tito Jim, Tita Yet. Halos maluha nga ako ng makita na andun na si Tito Jorge. Di po sya late.
Habang hinihintay sila Tito Par, dahil nagsimba sila, e nagkainan na ng barbecue ang mga tao. Ako naman putong puti ang inupakan. Ang mga kids naman ay ang mga Gummi Worms.
Nag-meeting ang mga 2G para sa nalalapit na Palawan Outing. Nagbayaran na rin ang mga tao, para sa plane fare. Sana nakabayad na ang lahat. Napagkayarian na subukan ang Hotel Asturias instead of the original Dangkalan resort. Mas maganda kasi ang Asturias syempre, kasi parang 4 Star-Hotel ito. Di rin kasi ganun kaganda ang reviews sa Dangkalan. Mas magiging mahal ng 1,000+ sa Asturias, pero nag-agree naman ang lahat. Titignan daw ni Tita Petite kung available ang hotel, at siyempre susubukan din niyang tumawad.
Di katagalan, dumating na rin sila Tito Par, Ditse, Nanay and kids + Tito Ayo. Nakabalik na rin sila Tito Boyet, so kainan na. Maiba naman, wala pong plastic ang mga plato namin this time =). Ang daming pagkain as always: Fried Chicken, Roast Pork in White Sauce, Pinakbet, Pritong Dalag, Arroz at Crabs. At endless supply of softdrinks. For dessert merong leche flan, iyong cake ni Karen na nalimutan ko ang tawag at fruits, Sarap!
After lunch, nag-practice na ang mga kasali sa 18 Roses. Meron pang dalang choreographer si Tita Edith, ayos! Maayos naman ang mga dance routines nila ha inferness. So I think this number will be one of the highlights of the night. Habang nag-pra-practice, ang mga bata naman ay naglalaro at kumakain ng Gummi Worms. Iyong mga oldies naman ay nag-cards: Baccarat, Pai Gow, at Carribean Stud Poker. Correct! Pangmayaman na talaga.
Bandang alas-3, merienda time na. Merong spaghetti, sotanghon, putong puti at kalamay. Plus maraming desserts. After ng merienda, balik sa practice at card games. Si Tito Boyet naman ay nag-videoke with his trademark carrier songs of Ariel Rivera, Elton John and his look-alike Billy Joel.
A very relaxing Sunday for everyone. Mabilis ang araw, pero magkikita na naman kasi in 2 weeks sa Bday ni Camae...so till then.
Pero for now, Happy Birthday ulit kay Tito Boyet.

WANG-WANG
Meron pang isang mas nakakainis kesa sa masikip na traffic. Eto ang mga nag-wa-wang maski sobrang traffic. Di ko na ata ma-ge-gets ang logic nito. Ang iniisip ko kasi, kung ikaw ay opisyal ng bayan dapat kang ma-trapik, para alam mo kung ano ba ang pinagdadaanan ng mga tao. Hinahanap ko nga sa batas kung may katuwiran bang mag-wang-wang ang mga mayor at congressmen. Bakit? Bakit di sila gumising ng maaga tulad ng lahat ng Pinoys.
Anyway, may nakita akong isang magandang article sa Inquirer tungkol sa WangWang, actually medyo opposite.

Call her Jackie S. The “interim first lady” of East Timor, Jacqueline Aquino Siapno, is a Filipina political scientist married to Fernando de Araujo, president of the new country’s National Parliament. She was back in the Philippines recently, for what she called a private visit. It was not the determinedly private nature of her visit that caught the attention of the Philippine Daily Inquirer; it was the resolutely modest way she went a-visiting.
The best way to capture this exemplary modesty is to quote at some length the report written by Inquirer correspondent Gabriel Cardinoza. “After exchanging greetings [at the Manila airport] they [Jackie S. and her mother] took a cab and headed to a bus terminal in Pasay City where they boarded a bus bound for her native Dagupan. The Friday night trip took five hours. At the station, they hailed a tricycle and asked to be taken to their house in Barangay Bonuan Gueset.”
This isn’t merely a charming anecdote: it is an indirect indictment of the way most public officials or political personalities in the Philippines conduct themselves, when travelling. It makes for a good story because it reminds us of the inexhaustibly surprising quality of human nature. But it makes for a front-page story because it offers a contrast to the “wang-wang” culture our political VIPs, both high and petty, take for granted.
Ms Siapno may not know the meaning of “wang-wang”—she has lived abroad for most of her adult life, earning (among other distinctions) a Ph.D. from the University of California in Berkeley—but she should recognize the self-importance her old country’s politicians attach to themselves. Wang-wang is the siren that “very important people” acquire, whether they ride unescorted or as part of a convoy; the sound is a sign that the usual (traffic) rules do not apply to VIPs. They are, obviously, too important.
Already, we can anticipate the objections, the clarifications, that officials who feel alluded to will issue. Her visit, they would say, was a private affair. There is no comparison with their official travel.
Yes, but they would miss the point. Jackie S. could have used or borrowed a private vehicle. That she did not consider herself too good for an ordinary bus or—Que barbaridad!—a rickety tricycle tells us more about the dignity of public office than flashing lights and wailing sirens ever can.
But East Timor is a small, impoverished country, other politicians or their hired spokesmen might say. There is no comparison.
Again, they would miss the point. Substantial government resources are spent every year to provide public officials with the illusion that we are already a rich country. How many hundreds of soldiers, how many thousands of policemen, are assigned to public officials as personal security? How many vehicles must be deployed to ferry a VIP and his security retinue from venue to venue? Does a vice mayor of a second-class municipality really need a close-in bodyguard? Does a congressman back in her district really need a motorcycle escort? Does a Cabinet secretary making the rounds in Metro Manila really need two beige-colored, red-plated AUVs to shadow his gas-guzzling SUV?
You get the point. Or at least we ordinary citizens do. We are not asking our public officials to use public transportation to go to and from work—although that would amount to a moral revolution. We are only asking them to reconsider the sense of entitlement, the sense of inflated dignity they display because of their complicity in the wang-wang culture.
But the “interim first lady” of East Timor is not even an official, nor does she hold a permanent position, still other officials would say. There is no comparison.
They would, again, be missing the point. All public office is temporary. And too many of our own officeholders use their office to aggrandize not only themselves but their families. Who has not seen police bodyguards deployed to secure an official’s child, or a convoy of government vehicles to accompany an official’s spouse?
In her simplicity, in her sure sense of self, Jackie S. reminds us how spoiled, how self-indulgent, how corrupt, many of our high-riding officials have become.

Congratulations Gab
Congratulations Gab for passing the entrance exams at
Philippine Science High School!
Excited na kinukuwento ni Tito Egay kanina. Kasi, nung Friday pa pala inannounce sa class nila Gab. Pero hindi naman nabanggit ni Gab sa kanila. Nung Sunday, pumunta si Tito Egay at Tita Dang sa school for the results of their review classes for UP Rural High School. Last time #6 si Gab. Pero this time number 3 na siya. (Mga 20 lang po kasi ang nakakapasok sa Rural out of thousands na nag-te-test).
So nung papauwi na sila, ang daming nag-co-congratulate kay Gab at kila Tita Dang. Akala nila Tito Egay, para ito sa number 3 position ni Gab. Until may parent na nagtanong sa kanila: so dun na papasok si Gab? Medyo nalito sila kaya natanong na rin nila kung ano ang ibig sabihin nun. Iyon na nga pala, pasado na si Gab.
Tinanong ko si Tito Egay kung ano ang magbabago - at paano ang mangyayari sa kanila, kasi nga ang layo ng QC sa Los Banos. Mag-do-dorm ba si Gab, lilipat ba sila o paano ba?. Tito Egay, please explain ha.
Basta ang sabi ni Tito Egay e ang laki ng matitipid niya, dahil libre nga sa Pisay. Sinabi rin ni Tito Egay na partida, ang dalas pa talagang mag-PSP niyang si Gab. Pero natural na magaling talaga siya, lalo na sa Math, Science at pati na sa Language. Ang medyo mahirap para sa kanya ay READING. Kasi nga di ba PSP, e di naman nagbabasa masyado.
So ayos talaga ito, 2 na sa PB ang taga-Pisay. Sabi ko nga kay TIto Egay, ang similarity ata ni Gab at Ia ay ganito: sabihin mo sa kanila na isang buong araw silang hindi lalabas sa kuwarto - hula ko kayang-kaya nila at matutuwa pa talaga hehe. Unlike yung ibang PB 3G na ayoko na sabihin ang pangalan.

PB Outing Abroad
January pa lang e outing na naman ang pinag-uusapan natin. Ang PB Poll natin last week ay tungkol sa PB Outing Abroad.
Number of votes was a respectable 21, dami bumoto. Pero parang walang consensus at hati-hati talaga ang boto.
Sabi nga ni Tito Jorge, estimated budget for Japan per person is 100,000. So kung 3 kayo sa pamilya - 300,000 pesos, kung 10 e di 1 Milyon hehehe. 1 Milyon para sa PB Outing. hehe. So not sure kung mangyayari ito sa 2011 (top vote getter), baka sakali sa 2015. Think positive PB!

October 2007. London England. Pagtapos na kasi ang summer nag-me-MEGA-SALE na sa Europe. Kasi nga Fall/Autumn na so out of season na ang mga Summer Clothes.
3 days lang ako dun for a meeting. Nung huling araw, meron akong 3 hours before my flight, so sabi ko shopping muna ako. So nung napadaan ako sa shopping centre, nakita ko na Sale ang Burberry. Bihirang bihira lang talaga mag-sale ang Burberry, so perfect chance.
20% ang mga polo shirts. Yehey! Ang dami kong nagustuhan. So ang ginawa ko tumawad ako, hehe. Korek po, tumatawad talaga ako sa mga sosyal na stores ( Iyon pong isa kong bag na sosyal, e tinawaran ko ng 50% hehe).
Naisip ko kasi, around 6,200Pesos ang isang polo shirt. Sabi ko bibili ako ng 4, gawin niyang 40% discount. Sabi ko ang layo pa ng pinanggalingan ko kaya ibigay na niya. Kinausap nya ang manager - at ayun binigay nga ang tawad ko. Patay bibili ako ng 4 na polo hahaha.
Anyway, cut the long story short. Pag-uwi ko ng Pilipinas, ang gaganda ng Burberry ko hehehe. Lahat ng polo ko e either S or XS. Etong isang polo, pasaway. Small ang size pero ang laki pa rin sa akin =(. Ang haba ng manggas, ang haba ng shirt at lagpas sa balikat ko.

The XL Jacket - Jack N Poy
Meron tayong good news and bad news.
The good news: meron pang isang Shell jacket. Yehey.
The bad news: yung 2nd jacket ay hindi katulad nung una. Ito ay cotton at saka isang kulay lang. Actually maganda rin.

Ang Jacket
Tuwa, Gulat at Shock. Yan ang reaksyon ko at marahil ng PB sa results ng PB - XL poll. Haha. Massive campaigning at mega-voting ang nangyari. Kasi pag binilang mo, less than 60 tayo sa PB. So ibig sabihin lahat talaga ng PB ay bumoto =). Amazing.
E bakit ba naman kasi nag-tie. E isa lang ang jacket sakin. So ganito, nagtanong po ako kung meron pang 1 jacket. Kung 2 jacket - ibibigay natin sa nag-tie. Kung wala, e kailangan po nating mag-botohan ulit to break the tie.
Meron pa tayong isa pang item na pagbobotahan. Abangan!

You have to check yung resibo mo kapag kasama mo si mama…(hehehe pero once twice palang ata nangyari sakin yun..sinabi lang sakin ni mm kaya napansin ko bigla hehehe..)ganito nangyayari….may titignan siya na item and then ako din may bibilhin sa store na yun sasabihin niya next time nalang and then pag bayaran na kasama na pala yung gusto niyang item sa binyaran mo.?nasa cashier na at pinaplastik na kapag nakita mo(di ba Magaling.?)so bayad na instant hehehe libre bigla…

Di naman natin cino-compare sa December, dahil pambihira talaga ang buwan na iyan. Pero pag cinompare mo ang traffic sa buwan ng September-October kesa sa January sobrang laking pagkakaiba. Nitong nakaraang 2 linggo - ang biyahe mula Binan hanggang Makati ay nag-average ng 45 minutes, may isang beses nga na 35 minutes. Kumpara ito sa 1.5 - 2.5 hours nung Sept-Dec. Wala namang nagawang bago sa Skyway, o kung saan man sa kalsada.
Maski nung nag-aaral pa rin ako napapansin ko na ito. Talagang nawawala ang traffic sa bagong taon, ano kaya ang nangyayari?

Para sa mga nagtatanong, eto ang listahan ng Official Vice Presidential Candidates para sa May 2010 Elections. Ito ay na-approve na ng Commission on Elections (COMELEC) at merong pong 8 kandidato. So kung 2 wks ang stay, pang 10th day nasa hotel ka nalang at nagjajackstone or scrabble, kumakain ng graba and buhangin pag naubos na ang baong halaya, ha ha ha.
But my trip in Japan ang best vacation so far sa buhay ko, talagang bakasyon at madaming napuntahan, syempre nakasama namin si Ia.

Last Will and Testament
Ang MORBID e yung pagkamatay mo e magkandagulo-gulo at magkandalito-lito ang mga naiwan mo. Ang MALAS e yung walang mapupunta sa mga gusto mong bigyan, at baka mapunta sa mga ayaw mong bigyan. Tapos di nyo ba napapansin na napapadalas ang Bagyo, Lindol, Volcanic Eruptions at Tsunami?
Haha. Manakot ba. Ang sinasabi ko lang po ay bakit hindi na magsimulang gumawa ng last will and testament. Maraming positive ang paggawa nito. At di lang po mang-mayaman ito. Kontra-gulo po ito pag kayo ay namatay at mas mapapadali pa ang paglipat ng mga papeles kung meron nito.
Eto sila:
1) Mapipilitan kang malaman kung ano ang meron ka. Syempre ano ang ilalagay mo kung di mo pala alam at kung di mo co-computin hehe.
2) Pantanggal ng Yabang. Kung akala ko mo dati ay mayaman ka, malalaman mo na kulang pala lagi ang gusto mong iwan =).
3) Masaya ito. Promise. Subukan nyo rin, para kang may kapangyarihan na ibigay ang kung ano ang gusto mo. May kapangyarihan ka ring Bigyan ang gusto mo, at di bigyan ang gusto mo hehehe.

PB Poll Results 011810- TRAVEL
"Sa mga napuntahan ng taga-PB nun 2009, saan mo gusto sanang nakasama?"
- We have a tie: Japan and Macau. Both really nice locations so no surprise that these are #1
- Tito Jorge and Tita Helen, magkano ang estimate ninyong gastos sa Japan per person? Gusto lang nating i-share sa PB para may idea sila kung magkano iipunin nila
- Singapore is tied with Davao, in the the next place. FYI, si Tita Edith ang nagpunta ng Davao, di ba nga umiyak pa nga (or muntik ng umiyak) si Kath hahaha, binisto pa. Medyo nagulat ako to see Davao higher than Cebu. Next time papakuwento tayo kay Tita Edith, kung ano nga ba ang meron sa Davao.

Happy Birthday Shiela
Ang alam natin kay Shiela: mahilig siya sa Tilapia, nag-gre-green siya pag Blue ang motif, at masarap siyang gumawa ng iba't-ibang desserts.
Marami pa tayong hindi alam kay Shiela(kabilang na ko dun), pero ang mga hula ko:
- Hindi siya striktang nanay. Pero strikta kay Jay E hehe
- Mahilig siyang kumain ng mga desserts na niluluto niya =)

Takot o Phobia
Wala kasi akong makitang study ng mga common phobia sa Pilipinas. So ang data sa baba ay galing sa US. Pero interesting, dahil sa tingin parang parehas lang naman ata. Mukhang ang takot o phobia ay isang bagay na universal o may pagkaka-pare-pareho sa buong mundo.
Tignan natin ang Top 10 Phobias at ang mga ibig sabihin nito:
10. Necrophobia o Takot sa Patay, Takot mamatay at mga bagay na may kinalaman sa patay
- Di na kelangang i-explain ito. Marami ata sa atin ang meron nito. Kayo?

2009 Car of the Year - Philippines
The Philippine Car Awards Group awarded the Car of the Year to the Subaru Legacy. Ito iyong 2010 version ng Subaru na Sedan - 2.5 WRX engine. Syempre naman, kotse na 2.5 at WRX engine. So talagang ito ang mananalo among cars na lumabas nung 2009.

1 month to go before Camae's Debut
Saktong 1 buwan na lang Debut na ni Camae. So, reminders at 1 intriga hehe
1) Kanya-kanyang gawa ng masks ang PB. Asa baba po ang instructions on how to create a mask
2) Naisip ko lang, Tito _ I _. Di ka kaya ma-accuse ng favoritism nyan? Kasi dati di ba sinagot mo at inispell pa ang C A K E. E bakit ngayon hindi mo sinagot. Mwa ahahhaa
Mahirap pala ang sumagot ng ganyan sa una ano, habang buhay ka maaalala.
3) Please please prepare your speeches. Maski na po iyong mga magagaling na speakers tulad nila Steve Jobs e nag-pra-practice at very-well prepared. Di naman kelangan in English, uso na rin ang Tagalog, basta maayos. Para bongga ang mga taga-PB sa Feb 13.
4) Ate Edith, forgot to ask. Mas prefer mo ba na ang PB ay magbigay ng gift kay Camae o tumulong sa preparations. Naisip ko lang kasi na usually pag may occassions e volunteer ang PB na sagot ang iba't ibang items. For example, puwede naman kasi ang treasures e "Video" o kaya "Cake" o kaya "Flowers" or "Souvenirs". 4) Ate Edith, forgot to ask. Mas prefer mo ba na ang PB ay magbigay ng gift kay Camae o tumulong sa preparations. Naisip ko lang kasi na usually pag may occassions e volunteer ang PB na sagot ang iba't ibang items. For example, puwede naman kasi ang treasures e "Video" o kaya "Cake" o kaya "Flowers" or "Souvenirs". Step 2 - Cut the design out of the white mask.
Step 3 - Spray paint the mask and dowel rod. Coordinate the color of the mask with the color of the dowel rod.
Step 4 - Glue feathers to the back side of the top of the mask. The male masquerade masks traditionally have short feathers across the top while the female masquerade masks have short feathers on the side with tall feathers in the middle. Make designs or alternate colors.
Step 5 - Glue the dowel rod to the back of a female mask, beside the right eye.
Step 6 - Glue sequins to the front of the mask. Place them randomly, or in design to add decoration.

EVEN GOOD NEWS: Na-arrange ni Tita Petite ang 10% discount sa Published rates ng Hotel. So iyong original computation gawin nating less 10%. For example: Ang cottage Type room ng Lising Family na P2,950/night would be 5,900 for 2 nights. Magiging 5,310 na lang ito. Iyong kila Tita Edith na Family Room1 na originally 7,000 for 2 nights would be 6,300.
MAS GOOD NEWS PA: Na-arrange ni Tita Petite na free contintal breakfast for everyone. Yehey! Ang kaso contintal breakfast is Bread and Butter. So di pa rin totally makakaligtas si Tito Jorge and Tito Jim. Pero natawaran na rin ni Tita Petite ang Filipino breakfast - 100P na lang from the original 150 pesos.

Favorite PB Party of 2009
Nagkamali nga ako e, na isama ang Wedding at PB Outing sa choices ng Favorite PB Party ng 2009. Technically di naman party ang mga iyon.
Nevertheless, below are the final results of the PB Poll
- Party or not Party, the Evot-Charisse Wedding is the unanimous winner. The PB Wedding of the Year 2009 (hehe) was organized, well-attended at pinahandaan. Tapos ang gaganda pa ng mga PB (iyong karamihan lang ha), at nag-effort sa kasuotan at sa mga itsura.
- #2 on the list is the PB New Year's Party. Bale ito iyong may Shabu-Shabu. I think maraming bumoto dito dahil ito ang first major sosyal in-house party ng PB - from the food nga, to the decor, the venue, pati mga games and raffle.
- #3 PB Summer Outing at Nicole's Place. For sure papasok ang Summer OUting sa listahan na ito.
- #4 Coolest Party in Town (Ganbatte Ia San). One of its kind especially in PB's history. Galing ng concept, pati mga games. Kaya ito hindi na-top3, dahil wala kasing umiyak e. hahaha.

Nung Thursday lang nag-text si Ate Edith about the Sunday Meeting. So kakagulat nga na ang daming nakadating. Last week lang kasi e nagkita-kita lang nung New Year's Party, so very good attendance for a short-notice meeting. Excited ata ang lahat mag-usap tungkol sa Camae's Debut, 2G Outing, PB Summer Outing, sige na nga pati na ang 3G Outing.
- Many many thanks kay Par at Ate Bhogs. Parang Pasko o Bagong Taon ang handa. Ilang Crispy Pata kaya ang naihanda? Parang hindi ata nauubusan e.
- Thanks din kila Lola Tiyang, kila Tita Ate (sobrang hit ng Tofu) at kila Ayo and Siony for all the food.
- Salamat din pala sa nag-prepare ng Bottomless Iced Tea (sino po ba?), talagang hindi nauubusan. And thanks to Kacey for being the official Iced Tea Girl
- Kakatuwa to see all 5 Sisters. And all seem healthy. Ang Ditse back to usual form - nag-se-serve pa ng food. At si Lolipot, na last month na may sakit, mukhang OK na naman (at umupak na ng suwaheng hipon hehe), with her new hairdo.
- It was also nice to see Tito Boyet back in PB action. Kasi nga last month nagkaroon ng konting scare tungkol sa kalagayan niya while in Bahamas. Kakaiba naman pala ang nangyari - at kasalukuyang nangyayari. Ang wish ng PB para kay Tito Boyet: sana iba na lang ang tumubo sa iyo hehehe. Pero we are all very happy na much better ka ngayon.
- Meron palang mga bagay na hindi puwedeng i-blog. Isa na dito ang mga kuwento ni Tito Jorge tungkol sa mga pictures nila nina Tita Helen at Ia sa Japan. Siya lang ata ang makakagawang gawing ganun ka exciting ang noodles, manholes, templo, tower, trains at mga kubeta at inidoro. Panalo ang mga kuwento ni Tito Jorge.
- Sa palagay ninyo, kelan mas nagpapakita ng pagiging ATAT si ____, tago na lang natin siya sa pangalang Tita Y.(ayaw nya kasing matawag na atat e)? Kapag may okasyon o kapag may meeting?
- Nakaramdam naman ako ng mga 2% na awa sa mga 3G sa kanilang nakakalungkot na attempt sa pag-organize ng kanilang outing. Good Luck sa inyo =).
- Nakita nyo ba ang nilalaro nilang Monopoly? Grabe wala ng pera, Credit Card na. Sobra na ito.
- Amazing din ang story-telling nila Lola Maam, Tita Ate, Tita Bhogs at Tita Yet. Mga 2 oras ata silang nag-around the world ha. Kaka-amaze nga ang mga topics nila e. At mukhang tatagal pa sila ng another 2 hours, kung di pa natapos ang poker.
- Parang lalong na-excite ang PB sa Debut ni Camae. Ang ganda kasi ng venue, at OK ang theme. Pero parang napansin ni Camae na marami ang kinabahan sa 18K. Natakot nga siya kanina na baka wala ng pumunta sa party dahil sa 18K na ito. Hindi naman daw po REQUIRED na 18K ang ibigay, puwede rin pong 19K o lalo na kung 20K hahaha. Parang lalo pa silang kinabahan.

Evolution
- Napansin nyo bang wala ng Sitcom sa mga major networks? Ang meron na lang ay mga gag shows at mga reality shows na comedy. Ewan kung babalik pa ang mga tipo ng John N Marsha o mga Oki Doki Doc.
- Wala na ring schedule ang mga palabas nagayon. "Pagkatapos ng", diyan ka lang magkaka-clue kung mga anong oras ipapalabas ang hinihintay mong prorgram. Ang 24 Oras o ang Bandila, sobrang haba at parang wala talagang limit. Hindi nga rin sila nagsisimula on-time. Ah oo nga pala wala na nga palang schedule, so lagi silang on-time. Pero iyon na nga di mo sigurado kung kelan magsisimula at lalo na kung kelan matatapos.
- 30% ng FM Radio ngayon, tagalog na ang salita. Nung lumalaki kami, walang ganyan, basta FM, in English.
- Ang kendi pala ngayon ay piso isa na? Sa ibang tindahan puwede pa 3 ang dalawang piso. Pero sa takatak boys at sa mga nagtitinda malapit sa mga opisina, asa pa. Naabutan ko ang kendi na 5 centavos ang isa. Kayo magkano inabutan nyo?
- Akala ko dati si Karen at Camae lang. Pero ang dami palang teens at twen-teens na 2 or more ang cellphone. Nung una di ko nga maintindihan, dahil puwede namang dual sim o magpalit-palit ng SIMs, pero "malalim" pala ang dahilan. Gusto nyong malaman =).
- Mas malaki pa ang populasyon ng Facebook kesa sa Pilipinas. Sa katunayan more than times 3, dahil ang Facebook ay meron ng more than 300M na populasyon.

- Raffle! hahaha. di masyado surprising
- Not sure if you are aware, but over 30,000 pesos cash and prizes ang pinamigay. (try nyo ring computin hehehe)
- Nagulat lang ako na 'Food' was only ~25%. Ako nasarapan sa food, akala ko lahat din. Hoy, yung mga kumain ng barbecue at suman hindi siguro bumoto hehehe.
- Naisip ko lang na wala tayong Feedback mechanism aside from the poll. Ano bang klaseng food ang gusto ng mga tao? Anong klaseng games? Ano pa dapat ang ginawa ng committee para mas OK? Hindi naman paglalaglag ang objective, kundi improvement for the next years.
- Kung nahihiya kayo =), i-email nyo lang or text sa akin. Dahil ako hindi nahihiya magsabi, if only for improvement.
GAMES SOBRANG NAG-ENJOY
- Admittedly, di ko masyado napanood ang Pass the Message game. Kasi gumagawa ako ng pa-raffle. Pero nice, Congratulations Tita Edith! (sabi ni Ma siya raw nagpalaro) voted as the most enjoyable game
- Patawanin Game also received favorable ratings. Nice!
- Other game favorites were Charades, Evot's debut game Mystery Number and 3G Oo o Hindi
- Natawa naman ako at halos walang bumoto sa Animal Game for 4G (ako lang ata haha). I voted kasi for the attempt to have a game for 4Gs, and I think nag-enjoy naman sila
- Ngayon ko lang na-realize, wala palang pinalaro ang committee during New Year. Ano b yan? hahaha

Kumusta na si Ia?

Most likely ang unang tatanungin sa ‘min ng PB pag nagkita-kita “kumusta na si Ia?” Kumusta na nga ang seventeen-year old na 3g na nagpunta sa Japan para mag-aral.
Mas maganda kung ikukuwento namin with pictures kaya pinadala ko kay Tito Ido ito to post sa PB blog.
Imagine, si Ia ang sumundo at naghatid sa min sa Narita Airport, considering mga 3 hours ang travel from her dorm to the airport, bale four transfers sa train. Mas kabisado pa ni Ia ang Tokyo kesa MetroManila. Nung nandito yun, ang pinakamalayo niyang na-commute e mula sa bahay to UP at pabalik, pagdating sa bahay e pagod na pagod na. Hindi pa marunong tumawid sa kalsada kung minsan,haha. Malaking factor yung efficiency ng transport system dun atsaka yung safety ng mga tawiran. Nababasa nya yung train route thru internet sa cellphone nya. Advantage din na marunong na rin siyang magbasa ng Kanji atsaka magsalita ng Nihonggo.
Pagdating namin sa airport, meron nang dalang down jackets para sa min ni tatay (Si Ia yung bumili ng parang metallic na jacket ni Tito Jorge. =)) kasi malamig nga daw, baka hindi namin kayanin. Siya din ang nag-book sa min sa hotel na malapit sa campus nya. =).
Nung unang umaga namin dun nagluto ako ng breakfast tapos ginising ko si Ia para magbreakfast, sabi ba naman pagkagising, “Ay, ang galing paggising ko me breakfast na, kakain na lang.” Natawa kami ni tatay nya, naawa din kami siyempre kasi siya lang talaga ang nag-aasikaso sa sarili niya dun.
Sa pagkain kasi niya, nag-go-grocery, bibili sa bento or convenience store, minsan magluluto. Siya ang naglilinis ng room, nagliligpit, at naglalaba ng damit niya. Siya na rin ang bumibili ng mga gamit nya. Nag-mamanage ng time nya, siya gumigising mag-isa. Nagbabayad ng dorm, water, electrical bills, etc. –nagbubudget, nakakaipon pa nga. Nagba-bike papunta sa grocery, train stations, atbp. (samantalang dito daw pagpunta atsaka pag-uwi kung saan man galing nakasakay sa kotse.) May allowance siya monthly as part of her scholarship aside from libre din siya sa school. Independent na at 18!! Sabi nga namin ni tatay sa kanya, malaking bagay and advantage yung independence sa kanya in life and sa work later.
Sa ngayon nasa Tokyo University of Foreign Studies pa din siya
dito siya nag-aaral ng Nihongo intensively atsaka nagre-refresh ng ibang subjects for the university
This coming March, magtatransfer na siya sa University para sa bachelors degree na 4 years. Malamang malipat na din siya ng ibang dorm within campus or off-campus.
Yung dormitory ni Ia nasa loob din ng campus.
International Residence Hall ang tawag nila dito.
Mga ilang hakbang lang sa school building nila. Nasa sixth floor siya tapos may balcony bawat room kung saan sila nagsasampay ng damit. Mapapansin nyo sa baba merong tatlong vendo machines. Pag gusto nila ng drinks, dito sila bumibili softdrinks, coffee and tea (hot and cold), kahit pocari sweat meron din- lahat at 110 yen ( around 54 pesos). Mula sa room nya, nakikita nya yung tennis court, football field, and gym (lahat nasa loob ng campus). Minsan daw natatanaw nya yung Mt. Fuji mula dito.
Meron ding park na malapit sa campus, nagpupunta siya dito, nagbabasa, namamasyal, nag-jojogging.
May dorm room sila bawat isa. Nasa 6th floor yung room niya. Sa loob meron sariling toilet and bath with bathtub, study table, kama, ref, sink, bookshelves. Meron ding water heater para sa tubig sa sink atsaka sa bathroom. Meron din aircon and heater yung kwarto. Ang lamig nga sa labas, mga 5-8 deg nung nandun kami kaya very useful yung heater.
Pag maglalaba siya, merong common coin laundry atsaka coin dryer sa 6th floor. Huhulog ka ng 100 yen (49 pesos) aandar na yung washing machine around 40 minutes.. Ganun din yung dryer, 100 yen din for 30 minutes.
Pag Tuesday night after school, nag-aaral din siya ng violin. Yung violin school malapit lang din sa campus at malapit sa train station. Pinaalam sa min ni tatay niya dati na mag-eenroll siya sa violin school na nagtuturo ng Suzuki Method. Relaxation at diversion yun and productive pa, kaya sabi namin okay lang. Kaya nung nandun kami sa dorm, pinapunta kami sa music room kung saan siya nagpapraktis ng violin.
Pinarinig sa min yung mga piyesa na tinutugtog niya. Inferness, smooth na yung tunog ng violin niya, wala ng gasgas, and maganda nang pakinggan . Pag pumikit ka nga and pakinggan mo yung tugtog nya, parang di si Ia tumutugtog. =)
Ang purpose talaga namin ni tatay niya, bukod sa mag-spend ng Christmas kasama siya , para malaman din namin ang situation niya dun. Nakita naman namin na safe siya dun as long as within area lang siya ng campus atsaka hindi nagpapagabi sa daan. Okay naman siya dun, global ang exposure. Mag-isa lang na Filipino na nakapasa si Ia sa undergrad kaya ang mga kaibigan nya dun taga Bulgaria, Brazil, Vietnam, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia. Interesting din daw yung iba’t-ibang nationalities ang friends n’ya. Talaga nga lang kailangan niyang malayo at mag-isa - although sacrifice ngayon alam rin niya na mas marami namang advantage sa kanya sa huli and naiintindihan nya rin yun.
Anyway, as always, nag-aaral siyang mabuti, mabait, magalang at responsible pa din na anak. Kaya, nung nandun kami, nagtravel kami sa mga gusto naming puntahan- Kyoto, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Nara, Osaka. Sabi nga ni tatay, work hard, play hard. Nag-relax kaming tatlo ng husto- kami ni tatay, after a year of hard work dito, si Ia naman-from school.. we’ll send you pictures nito later. =D

Kaya, nung nandun kami, nagtravel kami sa mga gusto naming puntahan- Kyoto, Hiroshima, Miyajima, Nara, Osaka. Sabi nga ni tatay, work hard, play hard. Nag-relax kaming tatlo ng husto- kami ni tatay, after a year of hard work dito, si Ia naman-from school.. we’ll send you pictures nito later. =D
