Favorite Speech

Eto nga pala ang speech ni Tito Jim.  Hwag nyo po masyado okrayin ha =).  Kakabilib talaga ito, meron pa talagang nakalagay na 'SPEECH',  hehe.  Huwag po kayong mag-alala di po yan ang best speech natin=).

Kelangan ng dictionary pag gustong mapakinggan ang mga speeches.  Paano ba naman e nagwithdraw si Tito Jorge at Tito Egay nung araw na yon so binanatan nila tayo ng Metamorphosis at Entice. 

All in all, OK ang 18K at 18 Treasure speeches.  Merong 4 na lumagpas ng 5 minutes, pero OK na rin yon.

Marami talaga ang nag-prepare dito ha.  Good job, at maganda talaga kinalabasan.

OKRAYAN

Total of 26 PB Speeches from 18K, Candles and Treasures.  Okrayan muna tayo ha.  Pero huwag nating isa-isahin at ayokong mapaaway =).

FAVORITE SPEECH

Ngapala.  Runner-up for Best Speech goes to Lola Maam.  Very good elements in the speech - funny, witty at higit sa lahat very short speech - just 55 seconds.  Good Job Lola Maam.

Ang ating favorite speech ay parang Regal films - merong konting kuwento, merong konting yabang, merong pang-inis at maraming patawa.  Bagay na bagay at very natural ang dating.

Our favorite and the audience favorite is the speech by TITO BOYET.

BEST DRESSED FEMALE

Bago natin kilalanin ang mga Best Dressed Female....tignan muna natin ang LOOK na ito:

Mother of 4?  No way.  Tita Dang looked amazing (lalo na sa camera ko).  Dun sa sosyal na camera - di masyado  hehehe.

BEST DRESSED

Tignan natin ang FASHION mga debut attendees at kung sino ang napunta sa ating best dressed list.  Una muna, wala ka sa listahan kung:

- Recycled ang damit mo (hihihi - alangan naman)

- Ang suot mo ay nagpapatanda (kung matanda ka)

- Ang suot mo mo ay nagpapataba pa lalo (kung majoba ka)

- o nagpapapayat pa (kung lampayatot ka na)

let's break it down...

Tita Bhogs - shows how to wear a recycled outfit (sinuot daw niya ito nung Debut nila Kriz/Aix).  Change your hairstyle and add something trendy at magmumukhang bago.  Di ko nga napansin na recycled pala ito.

Tita Petite - Di madaling magsuot ng shawl, pero she carried her dress really well.  At dahil sa damit nya - mukha siyang pumayat ng 50 pounds!!!  Kaya para na lang syang 260 pounds dito hahaha.

Tita Helen's Collar is FIERCE.

KAREN - Parang tint ng kotse, nagpapalit-palit ng kulay ang damit ni Karen depende sa tama ng ilaw.  Among all the gowns that night, she wins the "Best Back of a Gown". 

TITA ATE - we missed her in the best dressed list during the October wedding, pero she is back in our list this year.  Her embroidered and sequined gown makes her look 10 years younger.  Na-highlight kasi ang kanyang broad shoulders. 

TITA RHODA - is 2nd Runner-up.  With a mask, without mask - she was just stunning that night.  From her fantastic hairdo to her shapely and a little revealing gown, we get to see a stylish and sexier Tita Rhoda (especially kumpara dun sa suot niya sa October wedding - hahaha sinabi pa talaga).

TITA EDITH - is once again 1st runner-up.  From the front, from the side and from the back - Tita Edith was simply bonggacious.  From the hair to her shoes, she just looked beautiful, despite the stressful program and plenty of late guests.

AND THE BEST DRESSED FEMALE is

of course CAMAE.

whether you like the violet gown or the this brown gown...

It is one thing to have an amazing gown to wear, pero Camae just wore her 3 gowns amazingly well.  The pink dress is already stunning!  Tapos, ginamit pa nya yon pansayaw - 18 dance numbers.

DANCE

9 PB Boys danced during the program.  8 were part of the 18 Flowers and for the special number, RapRap Unyoy and Carl performed a mashed-up dance number.

Christian had a good mask and the good moves to match with Poker Face.

Kevin was japorms as always (though parang tumataba sya ha)

Miguel was a revelation

Jay-E looked dashing in the Bright Red Tie dancing to Fergie's Crumpy

Unyoy was a great dancer as always

Rap-Rap was pa-cute as usual

Ralph Sacdalan was sweet and maporma at the same time.

 

And here are the notable PB Dancers...

Si Tito Ayo ay mukhang na-posses sa kanyang Play That Funky Music Dance.  You have to admire his energy when he dance - parang walang sakit.

Carl stole the dance number.  Ito ang unang beses na nagsayaw si Carl sa ganito kalaking audience - at tama ang pinili nyang okasyon.  Magaling pala talaga syang sumayaw.  Sorry RapRap and Unyoy, dahil di ko talaga kaya masyado napanood (honest lang), talagang nakatutok atensyon ko at ng mga audience kay Carl.

Gab stole the 18 Roses.  Who would have thought?  Once again, Gab's dance was the most applauded.  And rightfully so.  Jai-Ho ang sinayaw nila ni Camae, and Gab never missed a beat.  Parang clockwork, sakto sa tyempo, at di talaga sya nagkamali ni isang beses.  Konting grace na lang at practice, puwede na siyang sumama kila Rap-Rap at Unyoy.

Kinuwento ko nga kay Tita Edith, at pareho pala kaming muntik maiyak sa tuwa dahil sa dance number ni Gab.  hehe

Programme and Food

PROGRAMME


The program was supposed to start at 6:30pm. Ang problema medyo maraming guests na na-late. Siguro na-traffic dahil nga sa Valentine's at Chinese New Year's Eve. Siguro naghintayan din kasi sabay-sabay silang na-late. 

So ang nangyari, nag-start ang program ng 8:20 pm. =(. 

Let's look at the program and see the + and the -.

Mga OK
- OK yung host.  Established rapport with the audience.  Ganda ng boses, galing magsalita.
- Marami ang magagaling na "performers" kaya OK ang program.  OK ang mga 18 Roses, Candles, K at Treasures so OK ang program.
- OK din ang boses ng 3 taga-Center for Pop Music
- Syempre ayos ang kanta ni Carlo.  Only advice to Carlo - please open your eyes when you're singing=)

NOT OK
- Since di nga naka-start on time, natapos ang program after midnight =(.
- Medyo maraming gaps sa program ano?  Parang laging merong hinihintay.  Sana smoother ang takbo ng programme.
- Ang hahaba ng ibang speeches =).  One of the PB speeches was 5minutes and 35 seconds long.
 
 

FOOD

I was lucky to be placed at the Presidential Table.  Ibig sabihin, una kaming kakain at di na namin kelangan pang tumayo pag kumuha ng food =).  So pinapanood ako ni Tito Jimmy habang kumakain, habang sya ay naghihintay tawagin ang table nya.  hehehe.
 
Di ko sure kung parehas ang pagkain naman sa presidential table compared to the common people hehe.  Pero let us break it down...
 
- The appetizers were really great.  I particularly liked the seared tuna.  Kinain ko nga yung kay Kathleen, Karen at Susan hehe.
- Marami namang may gusto sa Potato Salad
- OK din ang lumpia
- Ang soup pala ay Beef Consomme with Fried Wantons.  French dish kasi Sofitel is French
- Sa entree naman, OK yung Beef with Peppers
- Marami din ang may gusto nung Snapper (fish)
- Desserts are the best!  Iyong sapin-sapin was delicious.  Pati yung petit-fours were also good (ito yung mga cake na malilit).
 
 
 
 

Logistics of Masquerade Debut at Hotel Sofitel Manila

No way can you go wrong with Hotel Sofitel.  They host the most number of Debut Parties.  On Feb 13 alone, meron silang 2 debut parties.

Here is how the Visayas Room of Sofitel was decorated...like in a Masquerade Ball.

This is the stage. The color and the decor is just fantastic.

Pati ang cake kakaiba.  It looks more like a sculpture than a cake.

BEST DRESSED MALE

The 2G Boys decided to go conservative.  Kaya marami sa kanila mukhang papasok sa office vs. a-attend ng debut hehe.  Of course, they will not make it in the best dressed list.

Let's look at the Male Star of the Debut Night.  All Domingo.

5th Runner-Up is Tito One.  The only 2G in the list is stylish in a black suit and dark grey shirt.

4th Runner-Up.  Sana ibang kulay ang kanyang vest - the brown tone is distracting.  Apart from that, panalo ang dating ni RapRap - lalo na ang buhok may sariling buhay.

3rd Runner-Up goes to Unyoy.  Good porma.  Better Lining of the suit.  And the Best Pose. Pang-model.

2nd Runner-Up.  Carlo looked dashing in a Tuxedo-lined suit.  Ampogi!  Sana lang di sya mukhang sobrang seryoso sa picture.  At bakit ba hindi maibuka ang bibig na yan.

1st Runner-up.  Anton looks really cool in a Tux-styled suit with matching bow tie.  Ang taning problema, ang hirap nyang kunan ng picture mag-isa, dahil lagi siya nakakarga.  Pero good achievement for a 3-year old.

If you are 10 years old, you dress like 10 years old.  At kung magsasayaw ka - OK lang ang casual-formal attire.  Kaya si Carl ang ating BEST DRESSED MALE.

Party Pics

Ang souvenir at gimik sa debut ni Camae ay ang photo session sa labas - parang FAMAS awards.  Nag-open ang booth ng 6pm at tumagal pa nga hanggang mga 10pm na.

Ang idea:  mag-pa-picture ka ng 1 beses at iyong na-developed na picture ang magiging souvenir mo.

We really loved the concept, kasi nga parang moviestar ang dating.  Pero may mga taong sobrang na-in-love sa concept at talagang nagbabad sa photo booth!  Kakatawa talaga. mga sabik sa picture.

- Maaga nga kasi siyang dumating kaya habang nagpapahinga e nagpapa-picture.

- Amazing.  Kasi ang pictures ni Camae ay 16 lang.  Si Tita Edith nga 12 pictures.  So kakabilib kung paano ka makaka-50+ pictures haha.

2.  Andrei - 76 pictures
- Wow!  Considering 4 hours lang open ang booth at may break pa yung ha.  Tapos sobrang haba pa ng pila at naghihintay magpa-picture.  hehehe
