After Basketball

After a successful career in Basketball, the options become endless.  As the most popular sport in the country bar none, a famous player automatically gets celebrity status.  So no surprise that several former basketball players became actor celebrities.  There is Benjie Paras, who actually has good comedic timing.  Atoy and Yoyong appeared in several Regal-type comedies.  Alvin made a couple of movies.

Politics is probably the second most popular option.  Freddie Webb became senator and so did the Big J.  A few others became mayors, vice mayors or councilors  like Cezar, Pumaren etc.

Pero kakaiba talaga ang El Presidente, multi-MVP Ramon Fernandez ay naging suka. (Only El Presidente became a vinegar).

I have not seen this brand ever in Manila.  So I was delightly surprised when I saw it.  The picture looked more like a young Dolphy than Mon, but the explanation at the bottle's label confirmed that it is indeed The President.  The President is now a vinegar.

But a really good one.  Especialy with Seafoods, like tuna.
