Tourist Spots in Manila
Naubusan ako ng isasagot. Iyong bisita kasi naming German nagtatanong ng tourist spot na nasa Metro Manila. 1 buwan na rin siya dito, so nakapunta na siya sa Palawan, Boracay, Bohol, Banaue at Tagaytay. Gusto nya sa Metro Manila. Nakapunta na rin kasi siya sa Intramuros at sa Chinese Cemetery. Hmmm. Ang hirap pala.

Ang bilis
Ang bilis naman ng araw - katapusan na naman ng buwan. Suweldo na naman! E di ko pa nga ubos yung dati. haha. Since July na sa Wednesday, ibig sabihin lagpas na tayo sa kalahati ng taon. Ang bilis:
- Kakapasukan pa lang. Halos wala pang napapasok ang mga bata sa school dahil sa Signal no.1 &2 at saka sa suspension ng H1N1
- Eleksyon season na naman kasi. Sandamakmak ang constructions. Inaayos ang mga sira. Sinisira ang mga ayos, para may budget sa pag-aayos.
- May trabaho na daw si Kevin sa Makati? Totoo ba ang balita? So si Kriza na lang ang pal sa bahay nila.
- Kadalasan pag July bumabagyo. Pero ngayon kasi maski kelan puwede umulan ng malakas na malakas tapos aaraw ng ubod ng init.

May bago na palang commercial ang SMB. Very iconic ang commercials ng San Miguel Beer dahil simula pa nuong dati - puro the best ang nandun. Iyong original na "Isang Platitong Mani" na commercial ang tinatawag na Best TV Commercial of the Century. Andun sila Flash Elorde, Bert Tawa Marcelo, Amang Parica, Jockey Domingo.
Sa updated 2009 version ng "Isang Platitong Mani", andun sila Manny Pacquiao, Efren Bata Reyes, Michael V. at Derek Ramsey. Hmmm. Naubos na ata ang budget nila kay Manny, at medyo mahina ang line-up na ito compared sa original version. Puwede na sigurong kasama si Michael V, pero di ko sure bakit kasama dun si Derek Ramsey, di siya bagay. Sobrang sikat na ba sya?

CEBU, Philippines (CNN) -- Amid the tropical heat of a Philippine prison, convicted murderers, rapists and drug dealers on Saturday paid tribute to Michael Jackson with a reprise of their YouTube dance hit, "Thriller."
A rendition of Jackson's 1980s smash hit by prisoners at the Cebu Detention and Rehabilitation Center in the central Philippines garnered more than 24 million views since 2007, when prison supervisor Byron Garcia first uploaded it to the video-sharing Web site.
The prison has since posted other dance videos, including performances to Van Halen's "Jump," Queen's "Radio Ga Ga," and Phil Oakey and Giorgio Moroder's "Together in Electric Dreams."
Jackson, known as the "King of Pop," died Thursday in Los Angeles, less than two weeks shy of the first in a series of comeback concerts in London, England.
When he heard the news, Garcia, himself a fan of the 50-year-old pop icon, organized a free tribute performance by inmates for local people in the prison courtyard.

Every able-bodied prisoner must dance. If they refuse, they lose privileges, mostly conjugal visits. According to Garcia, the dancing occupies up to five hours a day. However he rejected claims he's abusing the prisoners' rights by forcing them to dance so many hours a day.
He said it gives them a renewed sense of worth and confidence, breaking them of their violent ways. He is convinced his prison is a model for prison authorities everywhere, an example of how to crack the plague of violent prison gangs.
"It brought back their self esteem. We have happy inmates now -- we don't want to go back to the old jail where we had mad, sad inmates," he said.
In searing temperatures, 1,400 men in bright orange tracksuits performed the 15-minute
"Thriller" routine perfectly. They rehearsed for 10 hours the previous day, finally stopping at 3 a.m. to rest ahead of the show.
The superbly-choreographed moves, energy and obvious enthusiasm of the prisoners had the audience -- swelled by journalists from around the world -- captivated the audience. Several inmates even invited people from the crowd to dance with them.
"I never thought I would ever find myself dancing with a prisoner," one excited local said.
A local journalist even described the performance as Asia's best way of paying tribute to Jackson.
Garcia, who says the prison has witnessed no violence in three years, paid tribute to the performers. "I'm so proud of them," he said. "They got the dance exactly right."
Although it was "probably wishful thinking," he added that he had actually wanted Michael Jackson to come to Cebu to dance and play the role himself. "Now it's not going to happen," he said mournfully.
Convicted robber Mavin Cabido, 23, said: "I feel so sad as we idolize him really. The moonwalk is my favorite -- I like that."

Dangerous Exhibition
Jologs talaga ako! Naalala ko kasi nung nabalitang namatay si Jay Ilagan, at umiiyak si Amy Austria habang sinasabi - sana talaga nag-helmet siya. Ang tagal na nun ano, bata pa ako. Favorite ko kasi si Jay Ilagan e, matalinong aktor (Kisapmata, Soltero, Palipat-lipat, Sr. Stella L. etc - lahat magagandang pelikula).
May pupuntahan lang daw kasi siya malapit nun, kaya hindi na siya nag-helmet nung nag-motor siya. Di na siya nakabalik ulit.
Sandamakmak na talaga ang motorsiklo sa paligid, maski na sobrang dami ng na-a-aksidente. Ang matindi, marami pa rin ang hindi natututo. Sa pagmamasid, eto ang mga "Exhibition" na nakikita namin sa mga nag-mo-motor: (dagdag din kayo)

- Habang nagmomotor, pupunta sa gilid nag kotse hahawakan ang kotse, at parang aandar na naka-angkas. wow talaga!

Sino ang mahilig sa gadgets?
Talaga? Ang mga BabyBoomers (edad 40 pataas) at Gen X (edad 26-40) daw ang nagiging mahilig sa mga tech gadgets, social networking at blog. Nalalaos na raw ang mga kabataan sa paggamit ng internet.
Siguro totoo nga ito. Sino ba kasi ang may pera, pambili ng mga yan, di ba?

Accenture, a management consulting firm, recently conducted a survey among 3,000 consumers across the United States to create its annual report on consumer electronics products and services usage. The survey's results offer a host of surprising discoveries.
Here are a few highlights:
Baby boomers, defined in Accenture's survey as those 45 years old or older, are embracing popular consumer technology applications nearly 20 times faster than younger generations.
Compared to a year ago, Gen Y, consumers between the ages of 18 and 24, are decelerating their use of consumer electronics and related services (social networking, blogging, listening to podcasts, watching and posting video on the Internet).
The "connected home" isn't happening. Survey respondents picked game consoles, television and portable music players as three consumer electronics products whose ability to connect to the Internet either directly or through a home network is "unimportant" to them.
Last, 91 percent of survey respondents said they spend "zero hours per week" in a virtual world such as "Second Life."
Meanwhile, the faster growth of new consumer services adoption by baby boomers over the last 12 months appears to be something of a social imperative.
"Baby boomers are more hip with technologies than we usually give them credit for," said Kumu Puri, a senior executive with Accenture's consumer technology practice. Clearly, boomers want to "stay up-to-date," and "stay connected with children and their grand children," she said, through the use of popular consumer technology applications.
The survey showed a 67 percent increase among baby boomers reading blogs or listening to podcasts. In contrast, Gen Y's usage of such applications was flat, declining by less than one percentage point. Today, 45 percent of Gen Y are engaged in reading blogs or listening to podcasts, while 26 percent of baby boomers have begun to do so.
Similarly, baby boomers connected on social networking sites jumped by 59 percent. Meanwhile, the usage and activities among Gen Y on social networking sites have also plateaued, showing only a two percent increase.
The survey also indicated that Gen Y consumers watching and posting videos on the Internet declined by 2 percent over the last 12 months, while similar use among baby boomers increased by 35 percent.
In essence, among Gen Y, the use of consumer electronics and related services is showing an overall slowdown and, in some cases, a flattening or decline compared with boomers, Accenture's report concluded.

Happy Birthday Karen
The year was 1994. Probably, ang pinaka-bonggang 7th bday party celebration sa Santan. Merong clowns, magic, sosyal na lootbags, sosyal na cake at meron pang Ice Cream cart.
15 years na pala iyon. Sabay ang dami na rin nangyari kay Karen... Tingin ko mas mabait si Karen ngayon kesa dati. At siyempre naging mas confident na rin. Lagi na lang kinukuwento ni Lolipot kug gaano kasinop si Karen sa mga gamit nya - kinukumutan ang mga bag, nilinis ang mga sapatos araw-araw.
Pag nakita mo nga si Karen, parang walang problema, ano? Hindi nagmamadali, hindi nakukunsumi - lagi lang relax.
Pag meron ngang nag-de-describe kay Karen, lagi talagang 2 levels - kelangan talagang merong negative kasama ng mga positive. Well, siguro iyan ang dahilan kung bakit isa si Karen, sa mga pinakapaboritong pamangkin ng PB.

Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

Rizal Day kasi. Nung isang araw nga, kalakasan ng ulan, nakita namin ang sunud-sunod na mga jeeps at buses na merong banners. Nagulat nga kami dahil ang pangalan ng isang van ay: La Liga Filipina de Rizal.
Iyon pala merong big rally sa Luneta ngayong araw. Interesting talaga kung gaano karaming Rizalista sa Pilipinas, actually maski sa labas ng Pilipinas. Interesting na maintindihan kung bakit sa opinyon nila si Jose Rizal ang totoong Anak ng Diyos (Banal na Iglesia ng Bathalang Buhay).

Nung Jan 2007, naipadala na ang huling telegrama sa America. Nakakalungkot na nakakatuwa. Nakakatuwa kasi ibig sabihin nag-i-improve na ang teknolohiya. May internet na kasi e, may cellphones na ang halos lahat. Aanhin mo pa ang telegrama? Nakakalungkot kasi, exciting talaga makatanggap ng telegrama - may thrill, may suspense may excitement. Isa pa, pang-matalino din ang telegrama, minsan mahirap maintindihan kung ano talaga ang message. Sabagay parang text din.
Wala na rin ang mga beepers. Cellphone naman ang pumatay dito. Aanhin ang 1-way communication kung puwede namang 2-way phone.

Ayka's 1st day
Tomorrow, June 15 is Ayka's 1st day at Work. Very happy for Aix and Tita Bhogs and Par. Sa Tandang Sora siya mag-wo-work, which is good kasi di masyado malayo at accessible sa transpo. Ang trabaho niya ay para sa supplier ng Jollibee. Very good!

Edith's Apartments Blessing
Ate Edith, dapat mo na talagang bigyan ng pangalan ang apartments mo. Para na rin sa marketing. Pero nice talaga ang apartments na ito - dahil comfy, sosyal, bago at mura pa.
Sa 3 araw ng Independence Day weekend, 2 beses nagkita ang PB. At eto nga Sunday ang official blessing ng apartment complex ni Ate Edith.
Eto ang mga naalala ko, please feel free to add:
1) Love the Food!
- Ngayon lang ako nag-second round na tilapia. Di ko kasi favorite iyon e (matinik kasi). Pero ang sarap talaga - minatch ko pa sa mango-tomato salsa, sarap. Nagustuhan ko rin ang macaroni na hinalo sa lettuce. Actually lahat masarap. Maski iyong fried chicken, naka tatlo nga ako. Yummy. Iyong lechon kawali din pinaliguan ko ng sauce, masarap talaga. OK din yung Paella. Nagustuhan daw ata ni Father.
And of course the alimango is so delicious. Malamang ang mahal nito hehe. Sosyal din ang dessert at healthy pa - lychees, pineapple at yellow watermelons.
Di ko natikman ang kare-kare at mga hipon. Dami ko na ngang nakain e. Kumusta?
2) Paagaw
Kung ang intensyon ng mga tao ay makakuha ng blessing mula sa paagaw, bakit kailangang bilangin at magkumparahan ng presyo? Sabagay, sabi nga nila count your blessings. hehe.
Marami nga nagsabi na di nila gagastusin ang mga naagaw na pera. Kung ganun bakit sandamakmak ang inagaw mo? haha
Pero masaya talaga ang paagaw. Kaso naghihintay ata sila ng mga 100. hahaha
3) 16 rooms
Alam ko pangarap eto nila Ditse e. Iyon bang magkaroon ng mga pinto ng apartments, tapos uupo na lang sa tumba-tumba (rocking chair) at maghihintay ng pera. Eto ata pangarap ng mga taga-Gapan.
So really very happy kay for Tita Edith - 16 rooms, wow! 4 nga lang OK na e. Pinaguusapan nga namin ni Tito Jorge kanina e. Nag-agree kami ni TIto JOrge na bagay na bagay kay Tita Edith ang ganitong negosyo, kasi ang ibang anak niya ANTATAMAD hahaha (sinabi ko ito habang naririnig ni Camae, so don't worry).
4) Walang kamatayan
inferness, nag-aalangang mag-Poker si Tito Jim, kasi nga blessing e. So si Tiyong ata ang nagpaalam kay Tita Edith.

Pag dating namin sa Meycauyan ng 12:10. Aba malapit ng matapos kumain ang mga bisita. Sabi nga ni Tito One, sobrang excited naman ang mga tao. At inferness, di late si Tito Jorge hehe.
- Catered ang food siyempre. Mga 6 na ulam ata + 3 desserts. Tapos bottomless softdrinks.
- May lechon din na pagkalutong-lutong ang balat
- Dahil sa clubhouse ginawa, meron ding swimming pool

- Nagulat, natawa at nalito ako dito. Talagang pinipilit kong tanggalin ang pinggan sa plastic. UNtil sawayin ako ni Tita Yet, to say na sa plastic kakain. Hahaha. Kakaiba naman ang patakaran ng catering na ito, talagang ayaw ng maghugas. ayaw pang magpalit ng pinggan. Baka puwedeng wag ng pinggan next time - sa kawali na lang kumain!

Kusa
Ang pagkukusa ay iyong hindi mo pa inuutos e ginagawa na. Pro-activeness kung baga. Bihira lang meron nito, kaya nga pag meron ka nito e mabilis kang umangat sa school o sa trabaho.

Lahat Kinakain Mo?
Pag tinatanong tayo kung kumakain tayo ng ____, minsan nasasabi natin na "lahat kinakain ko".
Pero gaano ba ka-totoo ito? Ano ang ibig sabihin ng lahat kinakain mo?
Nung bata ako, ang dami kong hindi kinakain. Halos lahat ng gulay di ko kinakain hehe! Akala ko kasi pag di ka kumakain ng gulay e sosyal ka. Malaking kalokohan. Pero syempre ngayon, ang dami ko na ring kinakain.
- Ampalaya with egg? Yes!
- Natuto akong kumain ng okra dahil naloko ako sa Japan - akala ko Tempura.
- Puso ng Saging, dahil sa Kare-Kare (hehe)
- Frog Legs kasi inorder ng mga Singaporean. yoko namang magpa-cute.
- Camel steak sa Dubai (sayang naman ang pagkakataon)
- Ipis sa Peru. Inihaw naman e =)

Naniniwala ako na ang pagkain ay dapat multi-sensory. Meaning nararamdaman ng maraming senses. Eto ang example:
Taste - obvious
Sight - dapat masarap tignan ang bbq. Walang dugo-dugo at di naman nagtututong
Touch - dapat di kadiri na malagkit, at malabsa
Hearing - haha syempre not applicable
Smell - dapat masarap
Sense of Cost - he he, dapat hwag naman sobrang mahal
Maraming may gusto sa Ineng's bbq. Kasi nga accessible - dami na sa paligid-ligid. Medyo mahal nga lang.
OK din sana ang Floring's bbq. Kaso nakaka-turn off ang smell. Amoy hindi masarap, although masarap naman pati ang sauce.

Ulan, Araw, Ulan at Araw
kakaiba naman ang panahon ngayon ano? uulan 15 minutes, tapos aaraw. tapos babagyo, tapos aaraw - lahat yan sa loob ng isang oras.

Kahapon 2.5 hours ang byahe naman papuntang airport. Back to Singapore na si Tita Che-Che. Buti na lang maaga kami umalis. Pero dahil na rin sa panahon, ang flight ni Tita Che-Che na scheduled for 1:30 nakaalis ng 5pm. Nye! Parang 3 oras siya nakaupo sa eroplano na hindi umaandar - naghihintay ng araw. Mabuti na rin siguro mag-ingat, nabalitaan nyo naman siguro nangyari sa Air France 447. Misteryosong nawala sa radar at nag-crash pala sa Atlantic Ocean, 3 hours into the flight.
Pauwi naman kagabi, another 2.5 hours. Traffic sa Makati, traffic maski sa Skyway. 2 oras ata ng byahe sa skyway lang. Nahilo na nga si Ma e.

Pilahan Mania
Sobrang nakakatawa at nakakatuwa naman ang mga comments tungkol sa post ng pilahan. Pero ang masasabi ko lang ay...EXAGG!!!! hahaha
At sino ba ang nagsabi na tatanggalin ang pilahan? haha. pakibasa nyo nga ang post bago mag-reak. ang sabi ay: baguhin ang pilahan, i-improve, pagandahin, gawin exciting not necessarily tanggalin.
So thanks sa mga suggestions - na nice naman. Iyong iba walang kuwenta hehe. Meron pa kayo suggest?

Talagang tumatanda na kami! Malapit ng magkatrabaho sila Kevin, Kriza and Ayka! Amazing.
Kaya pala meron akong nabalitaang nagbakasyon sa Bora. Haha na-nyismis pa.
Parang kelan lang ay ang cu-cute na mga bata ng tatlong yan. Tapos ngayon magtratrabaho na sila. Very nice. at hindi na pipila!!!
Tingin ko ibahin na dapat ang format ng pilahan na yan. Nagiging corny na rin. Saka 2009 na e, dapat bago na. Agree ba kayo Kevs, Kriz and Aix? hehehe
