Best of 2010 - Food

Nadagdag ang Newport sa listahan ng mga "Food Places" sa Metro Manila.  Sa 2010, Makati, the Fort/Bonifacio, at Quezon City pa rin ang major destinations.  Sana madagdag sa listahan ang Pasig at Alabang next year.  Kelan kaya ang Malabon, Binan at Las Pinas?

Naging very good ang food at restaurant scene sa Metro Manila.  Daming bagong restaurants, at nagiging astig ang mga food theme this year.

Sa mga nakainin this year, eto ang mga memorable, whether good food, good theme o simply ambience. 

Lola Dad's @ 6750 Ayala Ave.  Makati (mahal ang presyo)
- actually matagal na ang Lolo Dad, pero nung 2010 lang sila asa Makati.  Subukan ninyo ang kanilang "Only for the Rich" Salad - scallops, lobsters, duck liver at jamon serrano.  Da best din ang dessert nila na Chocolate Segafredo. 
- Mahal ang presyo pero sulit talaga.  Ang For the Rich salad kasi nila 1,700.  ayos ba?  Pag may manliligaw kayo, o may kliyente highliy recommended dito

Ba Noi @ Perea St. Makati City (Ayos ang presyo)
- Best Vietnamese restaurant sa buong Pilipinas, promise.  Medyo mabagal ang service pag lunch dahil sobrang daming tao
- Pero astig ang kanilang Pomelo salad at ang Grilled Chicken


Tao Yuan @ Resorts World Newport Rd (medyo mahal ang presyo)
- Definitely the best Singaporean/HongKong restaurant that opened in 2010.  Everything is good maski na yung libreng mani. 
- Try their sea bass with ham and brocolli.  Sarap!
- Dine early, laging haba ng pila

Aubergine @ Bonifacio High Street (mahal)
- Ang restaurant na puwede ka pumikit, tapos ituro mo ang food sa menu - sobrang sarap.
- OK din na lagi sila nagpapalit ng menu
- Mag-pa-reserve kayo ha, dahil laging dami tao dito

Wings and Things @ Home Depot in Ortigas (ayos ang presyo)
- Merong iba't-ibang level ng spicyness ng buffalo wings para sa lahat.  Pero try niyo yung pinakamatindi for the experience
- Para lang kayong asa garahe, pero ok ang lasa at affordable pa

Celsius @ Tomas Morato asa left side after the Circle(Medyo Mahal)
- Restaurant na itinayo ng mga estudyante sa Culinary school (ISCAHM)
- Para sa mga adventurous, dahil eto ang menu nila:  Kambing Ghoulash at Five-spiced frog legs.
- Pero OK din ang mga duo nila - lalo na ang Celsius Baboy


Van Gogh is Bipolar @ Scout Rallos St. corner Tomas Morato (Medyo Mahal)
- OK lang ang food, pero matindi ang ambience.  You have to experience being there.  Maliit ang lugar ha, so you have to be there early, or make reservations
- Sabihin nyo kung nakayanan nyo ang Axl Rose's Egg Shot, sobrang sikat nito
- Clinton's dish is also interesting, pero di ko nagustuhan

NomNomNom @ Tomas Morato cor. E. Rodriguez streets (Ayos lang presyo)
- Grabe lang sa liit ng sign, nakakaligaw talaga.  Kelangan ng tiyag
- Simple lang ang menu (burgers, salad, ravioli), pero iba ang lasa

Bon Chon Chicken (parang Best Fast Food to open in 2010)
- Try their Spicy flavor(para sa mga mahilig sa maanghang) o kaya iyong Soy Garlic
- Laging malutong ang chicken maski na nag-takeout, ewan nga paano nila ginagawa

Best Chocolate:  Royce (pero ginto ang presyo)
Best Desserts: Gelatissimo @ Greenbelt 5
- Para sa mga lactose intolerant, meron silang non-dairy Dark Chocolate at Berry-Berry.
