The most obvious result from Tyhoon Pepeng is that everyone seemed to over-prepare. Wednesday and Thursday pa lang, mega-grocery na ang mga tao (including Karen). And every Pinoy in metro manila were really preparing for the worst.
Syempre, it seemed Pepeng is not bound to hit Manila or even neighboring provinces. Our hearts go to those in Cagayan and the rest of Nothern Luzon. And extremely happy na hindi na nadagdagan pa ang tubig sa Pasig-Marikina area. I heard baha sa 17 barangays in Taguig, pero does not have anything to do with Pepeng, but rivers overflowing near Taguig.
Interestingly, umulan sa Laguna ng total of 20 minutes ng buong Sabado. Medyo malakas din, pero ang ikli lang talaga. Di rin daw malakas at matagal ang ulan sa makati or sa Malabon.
So ano kayang gagawin ng mga tao sa inimbak nilang groceries? Sabagay puwede pang ibigay sa mga victims ng Ondoy, dahil marami pa rin ang nasa evacuation centers, at marami pa ring lugar na baha. But definitely, better to be over-prepared kesa naman sa magulat ka na lang.
