POSTCARDS FROM BAGUIO
Dahil sa dami ng dineclare na “special non-working holiday” we decided to have our strategic planning meeting sa Baguio from 29 to 31 of Dec. Siyempre kasama na din ang year-end break dito. Ito ang room namin sa Prince Plaza Hotel along Legarda St..
Nasa Kennon Rd. pa rin ang Lion’s Head at sobrang ganda pa din ang flowers sa Baguio.
2nd day nagpunta kami sa Burnham Park. Nagbreakfast kami sa Solibao Restaurant na nasa loob ng Burnham Park. Favorite ni Tatay mag-agahan dito pag nasa Baguio kami. Continental breakfast ang specialty nila.

Gucci , Ralph Lauren, LV bags sa bangketa. Mga orig ang ukay-ukay dito.
Next stop ang Mine’s View Park, aside from being a tourist spot, sprawling din ang businesses dito. Mapapatingin ka sa kulangot (kalamay in a small rounded container na sinusundot ng stick para makain) na tag-3 for100 .
Meron ding photo ops of locals in Igorot costumes for 10.00 per pix. Aside from the usual merchandise na binebenta like knitted sweaters and bags, meron ding store na
nag eespecialize sa masks.
Ang Mansion , dineclare na 100th year in existence na pala nang kinunan namin ng pix nung Dec. 30. Ginawa kasi ‘to 1908.
Dito pala inspired ang Belen ng pink team. Ito ang Belen sa taas ng Baguio Cathedral, naka-local costumes si Mama Mary at St. Joseph.
Malapit sa Baguio Cathedral ang SM Baguio, na-curious lang kami kung ano ang kakaiba na makikita mo dito from SM’s in Manila. Una, hindi ito naka-aircon.
Pangalawa, ang ganda ng view sa uppermost deck. Medyo foggy pa sa background. Ingat nga lang, kasi gumagalaw yung deck. Reminds you tuloy ng earthquake nung 1990.
Third, may Cordillera Coffee dito, katabi ng Starbucks pero napansin namin na mas marami ang customers dito kesa sa Starbucks.

Specialty nila dito Benguet Coffee (cheaper) and Civet Coffee ( D’ kapetimusang) , also called Café Alamid for 300 per cup.
Going back sa hotel, we passed by a giant Christmas tree sa end ng Session Road. Kakaiba ‘to kasi tunay na pine tree ang giant Christmas tree nila sa Baguio. Mga 5-6 storey building ang taas.
Dinner. Nung first night , sa Kubo grill kami nag dinner. Recommended ang sisig na pusit nila, masarap. Kung gusto mo exotic meron din silang sawa and bayawak. Second night sa Sizzling Plate Baguio, we had Australian porterhouse , Salisbury, and tenderloin steaks. Yummy ang dessert nila, sans rival.
Pumunta din kami sa Camp John Hay, for picture taking lang, hehe.

The Strawberry Taho. Sa Baguio, may choice ka sa taho, either plain or strawberry. Pag strawberry-flavored, ilalagay nila strawberry jam instead of caramelized sugar. Pero, me sago pa rin siyempre.
Café by the Ruins. Dito kami nag-breakfast nung third day. Famous ‘to, nasa web. Ang restaurant was built on ruined structures pero maganda ang interior design and ambiance.
Inorder namin ruins herbal tea (specialty tea nila), sticky buns, basil bread, focaccia, and croissant with matching spreads. Sarap!

Last stop namin sa strawberry farm sa La Trinidad. Obviously, freshly picked ang dala naming strawberries.

Wow! parang ang sarap bumalik sa Baguio! Very nice blog! Parang ang sarap sarap ng strawberry taho...at ang strawberries, kuhang pang-label (pwedeng magamit ang pics sa negosyo?!...hehe)
oo nga, sarap siguro umakyat ng baguio after 25 years hehe. elementary pa ako nung last eh!
